Why the licence matters
Class A is not a credential. It is the scope.
A Class B general building contractor frames the house, and does it well. Placing a twelve-foot cantilevered retaining wall on a forty per cent slope, drilling caissons to bedrock, or underpinning a neighbour’s footing is general engineering work — a different licence, a different set of crews and a different kind of exposure.
That is the licence we have held since 1989, and it is the part of your job we take off your hands. On a Los Angeles hillside lot it is usually the part that decides whether the project pencils at all.
Who you will be dealing with
